Records and Words.

Been a bit of a mad week this one. On Weds I made my Djing début at the inaugural FCUM Radio Proms. Due to timings, I only managed to play three and a half songs but it was there.

The bands I saw were very good, Kamal Arafa especially impressing.  I would like to see them again sometime, hopefully with a better sound system so I can hear the lyrics clearer.

Thursday night brought The Suicide Bombers Reunion at The Parkside pub in Prestwich. Another great night, with poetry from James Quinn (Early Doors), John Darwin, the incomparable Mike Duff and Scott (Dirrrtyoldman from Mudhuts Media). Some great poetry, a few laughs, some tears and a chat with one or two people I haven’t seen for ages. Hopefully another similar night will follow.

Well hello there…

Well I have started another blog….I think this the 3rd one now. But I promise and fully intend to keep this one up to date regularly.

Anyway, where are we?

FC United had an average season last year, but the main news was the location of the new ground (well proposed location) on Ten Acres Lane in Newton Heath. The hard work of getting there starts now really.

After years of saying that I will get round to it, I have finally joined the Labour Party. The recent election and related shenanigans made me think that I would like to get myself involved, if only in a small way. Every little helps I suppose.

The radio show is going well. You can hear it at 7pm every night at The new show goes on air every Monday, though there are changes planned on the schedule over the Summer, keep your eyes peeled.

Anyway, hope you enjoy reading the blog (if anyone actually does) and I promise to update it regularly.
